Austin City Limits Festival 2014

Six days of concerts with 130+ artists on eight stages over two weekends of the Austin City Limits Festival 2014 begins this Friday, October 3rd.

This year’s jam-packed music festival features Eminem, Pearl Jam, Outkast, Lana Del Ray, Beck, Calvin Harris, Foster the People and many more on 46 acres of Zilker Park in downtown Austin.

The ACL Festival weekend dates include October 3-5 and October 10-12.  All tickets are sold out except for a few VIP tickets and those can be purchased by going to the ACL website.

Additionally, please note that there is NO PARKING at Zilker Park or the surrounding neighborhoods.  All festival attendees should park in downtown Austin parking lots and board a shuttle at Republic Square at the corner of 4th & Guadalupe streets which will drop festival goers off at the Festival entrance on Barton Springs Road. Shuttles begin at Republic Square at 10AM and make their final return from the park at 11PM each day of the ACL Festival.

Due to the enormous size of the ACL Festival, several roads will be closed starting Friday and re-opening on the Monday morning after for both festival weekends.

These road closures include:  Barton Springs Road at Robert E. Lee (Barton Springs Pool Parking accessible at Robert E. Lee Entrance), MoPac frontage at Columbus Drive (No travel allowed into Zilker Park or Barton Springs Pool from this road), and Stratford Drive at Nature Center Drive.

This iconic Austin music festival isn’t just about the music!  While attending, you can also explore:

    1. Austin Eats – showcases some of Austin’s finest restaurants.
    2. ACL Cares – promotes a plethora of organizations that help the community.
    3. ACL Art Market – displays a selection of arts, crafts and jewelry from local artisans.
    4. Austin Kiddie Limits – open from 11:00AM to 4:30PM daily and loaded with fun things for kids.  Kids 10 and under are free with a ticket-holding adult.

Founded in 2002, the Austin City Limits Festival has expanded from one weekend to two weekends with over 75,000 attendees each day and includes musical guests from rock, indie, country, folk, electronic and hip hop genres.
