The only Formula One Grand Prix race in the United States, last year’s event in Austin was one of the highest attended races in the 2013 Formula 1 racing season among the 19 races! Go Austin, Texas!!!
“How the West Was Formula 1” describes the amazing turnout and support our nation and our city has provided this international phenomenon. Leave it to Texas to combine one of the most prestigious international sports with the rugged Wild West!!
Three days of racing will be complimented with Texas-size entertainment and festivities! Along with Grand Prix races, attendees can see the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and a plethora of classic cars during the pre-race Drivers Parade – all at the Circuit of the Americas.
For the third year in a row, COTA will be loaded with local food, racing vendors, a Texas Saloon village, a Latin-themed Pachanga village and a Sports Bar. The racetrack is situated on a 1000-acre tract and features a 3.4 mile circuit track with room to seat over 120,000 fans.
