The Austin area has plenty of Oktoberfest events that you will not want to miss and will most certainly fill you up on the traditional German food, beverages and entertainment!!
We’ve chosen our three favorite and invite you to mark your calendars and discover the fun festivities of Oktoberfests in Austin! These include:
Austoberfest – October 22 – This will be the fourth annual Austin Oktoberfest along with celebrating 150 years of Scholz Garden at 1607 San Jacinto in downtown Austin. Tickets are $50 per person and include a 150th Commorative Glass, Hat Pin, Drink Tickets and Unlimited Sausage Tastings by some of Central Texas’ best meat purveyors, along with live music and bowling! It’s sure to be a fun-filled day! This is a family friendly event and children under 13 get in free. For more information, please go to Austoberfest.
WurstFest – November 4-13 – Ten days of celebrating sausage on the Wurstfest grounds at Landa Park in New Braunfels is where you will find loads of entertainment, food, drinks, shopping and fun! What started as a small sausage festival in 1961 designed to promote local commerce and preserve the community’s heritage has grown into a festival that includes many special events throughout New Braunfels and Comal County. Renaissance Festival – Weekends October 8 thru November 27 – What began in 1974 with just three stages and 15 acres has grown to almost sixty acres in Todd Mission, Texas that is transformed into 16th Century Europe for several weekends each fall. The festival includes hundreds of costumed performers from all over the world and showcases over 200 daily performances. This family friendly event has a plethora of entertainment, food, drink and over 400 shops to browse.
