Staying Away From Summertime Sickness

Staying Away From Summertime Sickness

Don’t be fooled by the warm weather and sunshine...getting sick is still a possibility in the summertime months.  Yikes!

Some allergies, stomach flu, viruses, the common cold and strep throat are only a few of the ailments that can hit during the summer months.  And we all know that there’s not much worse than being sick during the summer.

Nobody wants to be in bed when it’s gorgeous outside!

However, it makes sense that as the temperatures heat up, the chances of staying inside or choosing indoor activities become greater – hence, the more opportunity to pass around germs through recirculated air.

Therefore, we’ve put together a list of things to do to reduce your chances of getting sick this summer.  These include:

  • Wash your hands frequently.

  • Drink plenty of water.

  • Eat a well-balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables.

  • Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night.

  • Be active every day.

We hope you have a safe and healthy summer!!
