The holiday season is here and with this wonderful time of year comes spectacular views of Christmas lights throughout the Austin area! There simply is nothing better than sipping hot chocolate and taking a stroll with family and friends to see the gorgeous displays.

The Trail of Lights – The Trail of Lights meanders through 1.25 miles of Zilker Park and exhibits over 50 custom light displays from Dec. 8-22. Ray Benson & Special Guests, Whiskey Sisters, Jeff Lofton, Ruby Jane, The Eggmen, Suzanna Choffel and Vallejo are all set to perform during the weeks of this Austin original holiday celebration. Besides the live entertainment; food, local merchants and photo zones can be found throughout the trail. Parking is $15 per car and MUST BE PURCHASED ONLINE AND IN ADVANCE. Mozart’s Coffee Roasters & Bakery – Amid the European style atmosphere, Mozart’s Coffee Roasters and Bakery provides a 10-minute light show at the top of the hour starting at 6 p.m. until closing every night through the month of December. This one-of-a-kind coffee shop is located on the scenic Lake Austin Blvd. Live music is provided Thursday – Sunday and the views of Lake Austin are fabulous!
The 37th Street Neighborhood Lights – The 37th Street neighbors have been putting up an amazing light display for about 25 years, now. When you walk this street or drive through, you will see the homes decked out with outrageous, quirky and crazy lights throughout the month of December.
Barton Creek Holiday Lights & Ice – This is the 4th Annual Holiday Lights & Ice at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. Austin’s largest outdoor ice rink is 4,100 square feet and is located on the resort’s lighted tennis courts and is accompanied by a display of 200,000 lights until January 6. Monday – Thursday prices are $23 Adult, $17 Child. Friday – Sunday prices are $26 Adult, $19 Child. Season passes may be purchased for $155 for adults and children. Lakeway’s Lights On! Trail of Lights –Residents and visitors can access the Lakeway Trail of Lights from the lower level of the parking lot at the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek) or by parking behind City Hall (1102 Lohmans Crossing at the corner of Lohmans and Sailmaster). This illuminated walking trail is a free attraction and runs from 6p.m. until midnight every night Dec. 6-31.
Rock’N Lights Holiday Lights Tour – Drive through the 2nd Annual Rock’N Lights Holiday Light Tour in Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock throughout the month of December. The trail features all new displays with 2 million lights throughout the 1.5-mile path. In addition, a new Christmas Towne has been added and features light displays, historic holiday displays, holiday food, pony rides, petting zoo, holiday entertainment and more. Christmas Towne will open to the public on Saturday, December 7 and will be open Friday and Saturday evenings during the run of Rock’N Lights (weather permitting). Family cars are $15 and limos are $45.
