Hello! This is Kathleen Bucher with Austin Portfolio Real Estate and I’d like to welcome you back to our blog. Today, we are going to talk about how you, as a seller, can get your home ready for the market.
If you are going to be listing your home for sale, you need to make sure that it is prepared both inside and out. As a listing agent, I bring in a stager free of charge to set up your home so it properly shows. The stager will start with the exterior to make sure that your home gives a great first impression. We will make sure that there is fresh paint on your siding, working lighting, mulched landscaping and a stained front door.
On the interior, the home that sells the best is the home that is de-cluttered the most. We will set up your home so that the buyer can see themselves living in the property. The stager and I will take your personal photos down, store away knick-knacks and remove furniture so we highlight the great features of your home and not the accessories in it. Kitchens and bathrooms are the biggest selling features for buyers, so make sure they sparkle.
Once your home is staged properly, we will bring in a professional photographer to capture your home. The professional photographer will use lighting to make your home look better than it ever has. We then put the images online, where 98% of buyers look for their homes. This will bring in more views and buyers, making your home sell quicker and for a better price.
Thanks again for watching my video! If you have any additional questions about getting your home ready for market, or if you are interested in selling or buying a home, give me a call at (512) 784-7169 or email me at KathleenBucher@mac.com. I look forward to speaking with you!
