Pecan Street Festival

This Mother’s Day weekend Austin is hosting the 39th Annual Spring Pecan Street Festival on East Sixth Street between Brazos and IH35.

This free, family event on May 7th and 8th is the oldest and largest art festival in Central Texas where live music, delicious food, and artists of all kinds turn Sixth Street into the ultimate street fair that has a little something everyone.

The Pecan Street Festival caters to everyone’s inner creativity and is a great place to see the diversity and culture of Austin.

Historically known as Pecan Street, Sixth Street is the perfect place for one of the nation’s largest street festivals because it is lined with many interesting buildings dating to the early 1900’s and even as far back as the late 1800’s.  These historical buildings now house venues that make up Austin’s entertainment scene.

Treat mom to a good old fashioned street festival and see the many things that Austin has to offer!
