I teach at Dripping Springs, and it is a wonderful school! The expectations for staff are high, but they need to be if we want our kids to compete in a global world! We work together to make great things happen! There is a strong sense of family and teamwork on our campus, and it is a precious school!

I completely agree that DSES is the best school and has the most amazing teachers and principals! We have been in Dripping Springs for years, and this is the best year my children have ever had at school! The Leader in Me that the principal has implemented with her team is outstanding! Most importantly, it is a wonderful feeling knowing that my kids are well taken care of and loved during the day by teachers and administrators!

The principal, Mrs. Hassell is an amazing person and educator. She always makes her decisions based on what is best for kids and loves the children dearly. Each morning she greets them with a smile and has such a big heart! I really feel that the community may need to look in the mirror- as this is the third principal DSES has had in just 5 years! She has made such a positive difference on the campus and she has high expectations for students and staff, giving our kids wonderful opportunities. Our school is making great progress under her leadership and our test scores are higher than ever! She has brought innovation, creativity and leadership to the campus. The staff is amazing also and they do a great job giving our students a wonderful learning environment, too! DSES is the best!

Don't let all these older reviews fool you! This school has the poorest of staffing and teaching tactics! My kids are doing the poorest they have ever done due to the new curriculum brought out this year, the teachers have no clue what they are teaching either!! They are like sitting ducks in a pond when it comes to understanding the information coming out of their mouths to teach the students!! The principal is awful, doesn't ever seem to come out of her cave, only to open her mouth and say horrible things to parents that have opinions or concerns. It's a world wind of drama at that school and I will be removing my kids ASAP!!

The current principal is Tricia Hassell. She took office July 1, 2013. Her former position was Principal of Browning Elementary School in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Tricia has created an administrative culture which fosters fear among the teaching staff and alienation of the parents. Interestingly, her former school feedback on this website is very similar. This is a pattern in her career, and it has caught up to her again -- this time, we hope that her tenure is much shorter. Signed, James Bisett

My daughter attended public school for the first time this year. We had heard good reports from our neighbors about the school and the district. As it turns out, our daughter's experience at DSES was amazing. All of the faculty and administrators were caring and helped her transistion from private to public school be smooth. We are very happy with DSES.

Ms. Flaim was my son's teacher before she got her promotion. I am told she has principal experience in her background prior to this promotion. I fee so lucky to be moved over to the school she is at. Her discipline and reward tactics with the children have earned her so much love and respect. If you are thinking about going to this school, we love it. Ms Flaim will make it even better. I m sure we will hit Exemplary this year with her at the helm! Good luck Ms Flaim! Ethan F. and his mom

We moved to Dripping Springs from out of state. My son's teacher has been phenomenal in getting him the support he needed to handle the transition and become more comfortable in his new environment. He is excelling with his reading and math skills, and even his personality is beginning to change more positively. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Dripping Springs Elementary.

This school is great all around. However if you don't get involved you wont be involved. Esp. if you are not into being a part of the PTA and PTO organization that this school has, which it is great. Great school funds would be better if all pitched in. The parents are all friendly, and the staff is great. The principal retired at the end of the 05-06 school year. Play ground is big, sports, excels in academics even if your child needs help - it is provided, no bad crime in the area, housing was affordable(town is growing) ie: two more schools were built in one year. Great Community! Great learning experience, I wish my daughter could still attend this school. Have Fun sit back and participate you will have a blast.

My daughter attends this school and is currently completing her 2nd year. I find the teachers superb. They really focus on the needs of each child. The parent volunteers are outstanding and provide for additional learning enhancements. They also provide for other fun activities that round out the education experience...ie tiger science, art appreciation, math stars. My son is not a student but is provided excellent speech therapy through the school.
